Four Different Goal Scorers Pace Adrian in 4-1 Win at Concordia (Wis.)

MEQUON, Wis. - The men's hockey team is just one win away from completing a perfect MCHA regular season after a 4-1 win on Friday night at Concordia (Wis.). Adrian is currently 22-1-1 overall and 19-0 in the MCHA heading into tomorrow's regular season finale against the Falcons. The longest winning streak in Division III reached 21 games but Concordia made things interesting after holding a 1-0 lead after the first.

The Falcons' Ryan Dove scored at 3:18 of the opening period and Concordia was outshot 14-4 in the first 20 minutes. Adrian kept firing away at Mike Wyenn and Eric Miller tied the game at 1-1 on a power play goal at 8:50 of the second period. Adam Krug and Chris Stansik each had an assist on the game tying goal.

Joel Workman scored the game-winner at 16:13 of the second on a power play with assists from Brad Houston and Quinn Waller. Adrian held a 2-1 lead after the second and had a 37-10 edge in shots on goal. The Bulldogs needed little time to increase their lead in the third as Stansik scored 53 seconds into the period at even strength with assists from Mike Dahlinger and Krug. Adrian put things away at 6:45 of the third as Houston scored at even strength with assists from Dahlinger and Sam Kuzyk.

Adrian finished the game with 54 shots on goal as Krug led the team with seven. Kyle Watson could not find the back of the net but did have five shots on goal. Brad Fogal played all but 1:20 and earned the win making 19 saves. Jeremy Cross finished the game but did not face a shot on goal.

Adrian went 2-of-8 on the power play scoring both in the second. Concordia went 0-of-3 with the advantage and were responsible for 26 penalty minutes. Adrian had 12 penalties for a total of 24 minutes.
