The women's hockey team claimed their eighth straight win on Friday afternoon with a 4-0 win at Concordia (Wis.). The ninth-ranked Bulldogs recorded three second-period goals and one more in the third. Sophomore Jessica Grubbs scored a pair of goals to run her season total to 21 and Steph Dimini and Stacey Kempson also added goals for the Bulldogs (16-5-1).
Grubbs scored the game-winner at 1:59 of the second period with assists from Brooke Zaleski and Kempson for her 20th of the year at even strength. Dimini made it 2-0 at the 9:32 mark on the power play with assists from Grubbs and Andrea Soloko. Kempson made it 3-0 at the 19:12 mark of the second with an assist from Zaleski for her 18th of the year.
Grubbs' second goal of the night at 8:34 of the third put the finishing touches on a great team effort. Soloko and Kempson were awarded assists on the final goal. Adrian went 1-of-4 on the power play and limited Concordia to 0-of-5. Dana Timm improved to 15-5-1 in net making 26 saves. The same two teams play tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 pm eastern.
