MEQUON, Wis. - The Adrian College women's hockey team had to make a comeback in the third period to earn their ninth straight win of the season. The Bulldogs are now 17-5-1 after sweeping Concordia over the weekend. Adrian scored four goals in the third period to win the game 4-2. Jessica Grubbs played an amazing third period as she accounted for three of Adrian's four goals to earn the hat trick.

The action picked up in the second period as neither team was able to score a goal through the first 20 minutes. Amber Cmejla scored a power play goal for Concordia to take a 1-0 advantage over Adrian.

Grubbs was able to even the score at 1-1 early in the third period. Brooke Zaleski and Kelly Salis each picked up an assist on the goal. The combination of Grubbs and Zaleski was the key to success for Adrian. Grubbs scored her second goal of the game at the 6:39 mark, and capped off the hat trick 17 minutes in to the period to give Adrian a 3-1 lead. Zaleski recorded an assist on all three goals, and then gave the Bulldogs a 4-1 lead by scoring a goal. Ironically Grubbs was credited with an assist on the Zaleski goal.
