Final Stats
ADRIAN, Mich. -
The men's hockey team scored two goals in the first 48 seconds on Saturday and cruised to a 7-1 win over MSOE at the Arrington Ice Arena. Sophomore Kyle Watson scored a pair of goals for his third and fourth of the season as Adrian scored five in the first period against the Raiders. Conner Toomey played the first 6:40 in net for MSOE and allowed four goals. Chris Keller relieved Toomey and did much better with 23 saves the rest of the way.
Senior Adam Krug was playing in his final regular season home game and was honored before the game. Krug had a goal and assist and scored the seventh goal on the power play at 19:43 of the second period. He also assisted on the first goal at 38 seconds of the first. Krug has an even 40 points this season.
Eric Miller scored the first goal for Adrian after missing yesterday's contest. Miller's 15 was assisted by Krug and Shawn Skelly. Sam Kuzyk had a nifty goal just 10 seconds later beating the goaltender with a nice top-shelf wrister. Brad Houston scored his 11th at 4:59 with assists from Mike Dahlinger and Kuzyk to make it 3-0. Watson's back-to-back goals at 6:40 and 19:44 pretty much sealed the deal for the Bulldogs.
Joel Workman also scored a goal for his 10th tally at 3:07 of the second period to make it 6-0. Jacob Furey scored a 5-on-3 goal for MSOE at 9:32 of the second for their only goal on the day. Brad Fogal made 19 saves earning his 20th win between the pipes. Adrian is now 21-1-1 and 18-0 in the MCHA. They conclude regular season play at Concordia (Wis.) next weekend.
