The men's soccer squad picked up their third win of the season on Saturday against Manchester at the Ketner Classic hosted by Trine. The Bulldogs opened up a 2-0 lead at halftime and held on to win 2-1 against the Spartans.
Adrian really controlled the tempo throughout as they outshot Manchester, 28-6, including a 15-2 edge in the first half. Jamie Brower got Adrian on the board in the 5th minute with an assist from Billy Cremeans. Nate Bauer followed that up with a goal in the 42nd minute which would prove to be the game-winner.
Ben Cole scored for Manchester in the 51st minute off a corner kick to cut the lead to 2-1 and the Bulldogs had the better opportunities for the remainder of the match. Cazz Warren fired a team-high seven shots including two shots on goal.
Adrian had 15 shots on goal compared to four for the Spartans. Alex Pavlika made three saves for the Bulldogs. Adrian is now 3-2 overall.
