The men's hockey team has returned to form after a weekend sweep at MSOE that was culminated in a 5-2 win over the Raiders on Saturday. Zach Graham notched a pair of goals and assisted on another for the Bulldogs who improved to 12-3 overall and 10-0 in the MCHA.
Chris Stansik opened the scoring in the second period at 15:28 as Blake Barkwell and Graham earned assists. Shawn Skelly gave Adrian a 2-0 lead 38 seconds later with Stansik and Quinn Waller gaining assists to give AC a two-goal cushion after two periods.
Graham scored his first of the day at 8:18 of the third as Waller and Kyle Crawford were credited with assists. Jeremy Klaver made it 4-0 just 1:24 later from Waller and Mike Dahlinger.
Stephen Smiddy scored short-handed at 11:37 for the Raiders unassisted to put MSOE on the board. Graham's second of the game at 12:52 put things in the win column. Stansik and Eric Roman were given assists on the goal. Nicholas Gorup scored at 13:05 to wrap up the scoring.
Adrian had a 29-21 shots on goal advantage with 12 shots coming in the opening period. Brad Fogal made 19 saves and still has not lost a conference game in net during his career. Neither team could solve each other's power play as both teams went 0-for-6.
