Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's hockey team has played two games so far this season, and freshman goaltender Emily Michelin (Highland, Mich.) has not allowed a goal as the Bulldogs beat Oswego St. on Friday 2-0. Adrian's record is now 2-0 on the season.
Junior Olivia Rork (Wayne, Mich.) got the scoring started with only 39 seconds left in the first period as she scored on one of Adrian's three power play chances. Rorak scored her first goal of the season off assists from senior Kelly Salis (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) and freshman Nina Laurie (Palatine, Ill.).
Senior Stacey Kempson netted the Bulldogs other goal at 14:11 of the second period. Kempson, intercepted a Lakers pass for a breakaway and she beat the goalie on a backhander through the five hole.
In goal, Michelin has now run her scoreless streak to 120 minutes after making 27 saves on the night.
Adrian played strong on defense, denying the Lakers on seven different power play opportunities.
The Bulldogs and Lakers will go at it again as the series wraps up at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30 at the Arrington Ice Arena.
