OLIVET, Mich. – The Adrian College men's soccer team got a key victory on Saturday over MIAA opponent Olivet, who was ranked sixth in the central region by the NSCAA. With the 2-1 victory, the Bulldogs leapfrogged the Comets into second place in the MIAA. The Bulldogs are now 5-7 overall and 4-2 in the MIAA.

Adrian's first goal came off a corner kick, when an Olivet played headed the ball into their own goal. Olivet scored the equalizer in the 68^th minute. The game-winner for Adrian came only a few minutes later in the 77^th minute when sophomore Cazz Warren fed the ball across to box to freshman Marcus Derrick-Huie who put the ball in the back of the net. Warren also had two shots on goal for the night.

The defense for Adrian played solid as they limited Olivet to only seven shots in the game and only three shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Alex Pavlika made two stopped to give Adrian the win.

The Bulldogs will play host to MIAA opponent Alma College on Tuesday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m.
