Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's basketball team did not take care of the ball on Tuesday (Nov. 23) night in their annual rivalry with Siena Heights falling 63-45 to the Saints at the SHU Fieldhouse. Adrian committed 30 turnovers and shot just 28.3 percent from the floor putting them in a huge hole that they could not overcome.
Adrian trailed 28-24 at halftime but were outscored 35-21 in the second half. Siena Heights lead by as many as 22 points in the second half while Adrian had just one lead in the game which came at the 17:55 mark of the first half.
Adrian went 0-of-8 from the arc and were 19-of-29 at the foul line for the contest.
Kayla Galecka and
Kellee Wonders led the team with 10 points. Galecka was 3-for-6 from the floor and 4-for-4 at the foul line. She also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists. Wonders shot just 4-for-13 but did have six rebounds.
She'Meika Nicholson scored 14 points for the Saints as she combined with backcourt mate Shalaha Hubbard to control the tempo in the game. Hubbard led all scorers with 15 points. Siena Heights shot 36.4 percent and outrebounded the Bulldogs, 44-42, with 15 offensive boards. The Saints committed 18 turnovers and connected on 4-of-11 from the arc and 11-of-19 at the foul line.
