Box Score ALMA, Mich. – By the time the Adrian College men's soccer team took the field on Saturday at Alma, they had already been eliminated from the chance of capturing the MIAA title when Hope won earlier in the day. The Bulldogs did their best in the moment but fell to the Scots 2-0, and concluded the season with a 9-9-2 overall records and 8-4-2 in the conference.
Even with the loss, the Bulldogs had their best MIAA finish ever, third, and tallied the most wins ever with nine.
Alma scored early in the fourth minute to go up one-to-nothing. That was the only goal the Scots would need as they would later add another goal in the 17th minute.
Freshman Morgan Copeland lead the team with two shots, both were on goal. Copeland finished the season leading the conference in assists with six. Sophomore Billy Cremeans took two shots for the game, one on goal. Cremeans led the MIAA in points with 21, including a league-leading nine goals and while dishing out three assists.
In his final game at Adrian, senior goalkeeper Alex Pavlika made two saves.
