ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian took the game down to the wire, but sophomore Rachael Walker's (Warrensville Hts., Ohio/John F. Kennedy) jumper from the free throw line was blocked as time expired, as the Bulldogs fell to Olivet College 51-49. Adrian falls to 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in the MIAA.

Olivet led most of the game, including the entire first half. The Bulldogs took their first lead of the game at the 9:55 mark of the second half on the three-pointer by junior Katie Ross(Clawson, Mich./Clawson). The Comets quickly answered back with a three of their own to tie the game. Junior Kellee Wonders' (Pittsford, Mich./Hudson) jumper with 1:37 left tied the score at 49. Olivet held the ball looking to take the last shot of the game, as Alysia Cole nailed the game winner from the right side of the paint with 12 seconds to go.

The Bulldogs and Comets each made 19 shots from the floor, but Olivet went 9-10 from the charity stripe to give them the edge. Adrian had their best night from behind the arc as they shot 40% compared to the Comets who managed 33.3%.

Wonders led the Bulldogs with 11 points, going 5-10 from the field. Ross scored double-figures for the first time this season, going 4-6 from the floor and 2-3 from behind the arc for 10 points. Walker netted nine points to go along with four rebounds and three assists. Jenn Headley (Hicksville, Ohio/Hicksville), a junior, score six points while pulling down four rebounds. Freshman Senneca Scott (Livonia, Mich./Franklin) grabbed a team and season-high eight boards while adding in five points and two assists.

The Bulldogs will head to Albion College for their first MIAA road game on Saturday, December 11 for a 3:00 p.m. tip.
