Box Score DELAWARE, Ohio – The Adrian men's soccer
team dropped their opening game of the adidas-Fred Myers
Invitational to Capital 1-0. The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2
on the season.
Neither team could break through in the first half, as the game
was scoreless going into the halftime. Capital broke through in the
71st minute on a goal by Cory Trump.
Adrian had six shots for the game, three in the first and second
half each. Cazz
Warren and Jamie
Brower, both sophomores accounted for two shots each. Freshman
Marcus
Derrick-Huie and Ryan
McCarthy each added a shot. McCarthy accounted for the Bulldogs
only shot on goal for the game, when his shot in the
73rd minute was blocked by the Capital goalie.
Senior goalkeeper Alex
Pavlika made four saves on the game, including three during the
second half.
Adrian will play their second game of the adidas-Fred Myers
Invitational on Saturday, September 11 when they face host Ohio
Wesleyan.
