Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's
soccer team hadn't scored more than two goals in a game this
season, that is until Tuesday night. The Bulldogs were able to take
apart Albion College to get their second conference win as they
defeated the Britons 5-1. Adrian's record is not 3-6 overall
and 2-1 in the conference.
The Bulldogs got the goal scoring started early as freshman Mitch
Aguilera scored on a header off a deflected shot off the foot
of sophomore Cazz
Warren only six minutes into the game. Almost 10 minutes later,
it was Warren who scored his fifth goal of the season, off an
assist from Aguilera. Sophomore Billy
Cremeans scored back-to-back goals in the 25th and
44th minutes off assists from freshman Ryan
McCarthy and Aguilera. With the two goals on Tuesday, Cremeans
set a career-high for goals scored in a season with three. Marcus
Derrick-Huie, a freshman, got his first career goal in the
67th minute off an assist from Cremeans.
Senior goalie Alex
Pavlika made six saves including a diving stop to his left off
a free kick with only about two minutes left in the game.
The Bulldogs will take on the visiting Hope College on Friday,
October 1 at 7:00 pm.
