OLIVET, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team fell behind after an early lead as they lost to Olivet College 70-52. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 6-10 on the season and 3-6 in the MIAA.

Adrian led by as many as five during the first half before the Comets finished off the half on a 23-4 run to lead 34-20 at the half. Adrian was out-shot in the first half 26 pct. to 46 from the field. The Bulldogs started the second half on an 8-3 run to cut the Olivet lead to eight but were unable to hold off the Comets charge. Olivet held their largest lead of the game at 26 points with five minutes to go. Adrian finished off the game scoring 17 of the final 25 points.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was freshman LaQwana Dockery (Macomb, Mich./Dakota) scoring a game-high 14 points while pulling down four rebounds, dishing our three assists and making two steals. Fellow freshman Senneca Scott (Livonia, Mich./Franklin) tallied seven points while grabbing seven boards. Junior Kellee Wonders (Pittsford, Mich./Hudson) and sophomores Jasmine Byers (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) and Nicole Boggs (Gibraltar, Mich./St. Mary's Catholic Central) each added in six points. Byers pulled in seven boards while Wonders grabbed four.

The Bulldogs will try to get back on to their winning ways as they host Trine University on Wednesday, January 26 at 7:30 p.m.
