LANSING, Mich. - Competing in their final American Heartland Conference tournament of the year, the team finished seventh out of 15 teams. Junior Nicole Corstange led the way for Adrian averaging a 182.80 finishing 15th overall. Freshman Chelsea Essenmacher and sophomore Shannon McKowen also had strong showings averaging 177 and 173.5. The team struggled with their spare shooting during the team games landing them in 10th place. However, the team responded, averaging 183.4 in their last five baker games moving them up three spots to finish in seventh place. Prior to the tournament the team was ranked 29th in the nation. The team earned 56 power points with their finish in this tournament, so they should maintain their ranking.
"We have two weeks of practice heading into the Conference Championships on February 26th so the team will be ready to compete," said head coach Jody Fetterhoff.
