Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. - Olivia Rork tied her school record as the Adrian Women's Hockey team bounced back to knock off Concordia (Wis.) 7-3. Rork had a total of five points, which tied her school record, off of three goals and two assists. With the win, Adrian improves to 6-8-2 (4-6-2 NCHA).
The Bulldogs scored two goals in the first period as Rork found the net from sophomore forward Danielle Smith and freshman forward Hannah McGowan on the first goal, which came at the 8:14 mark. The second goal came two minutes later as McGowan found the net from Rork and sophomore defensemen Alix Vallee.
Smith later added a goal in the second to give Adrian a 3-1 lead. Smith finished with four points on the afternoon which increased her team-leading season total to 16. McGowan also added three points on the day which gave her ten for the season.
Adrian outshot Concordia (Wis.) 37-15 and finished 4-for-7 in power play opportunities. Senior Brittany Zeches had 11 saves from the goalie spot as she earned her third win of the season.
The Bulldogs will now get an 11 day break until their next contest, which will take place at Finlandia on January 27th as they will travel to Hancock for a two-day double-header.
