Box Score HANCOCK, Mich. – The Adrian College Women's Hockey team completed the sweep of Finlandia University Saturday as they shutout the Lions, 3-0 to improve to 8-8-2 (6-6-2 NCHA).
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start, scoring a goal just 1:55 into the contest as senior Kelly Salis scored her third goal of the season off the assist from sophomore Danielle Smith and freshman Hannah McGowan. The Bulldogs then got two goals in the second as junior Ashley Chinn got her first goal of the season and freshman Courtney Millar scored her second of the year.
Sophomore Nina Laurie had a strong contribution as she added two assists, which now gives her 12 points on the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Michelin earned her fourth win on the season as she stopped 15 shots and did not allow a single goal.
The Bulldogs will now have a week before their next game as they will travel to Wisconsin-Stevens Point next weekend for a Saturday/Sunday doubleheader. The puck will drop for the Saturday game at 8:00 p.m. while the Sunday contest will start at 3:30 p.m.
