Bowlers Win Home Open

ADRIAN, Mich. - The women's bowling team for their second year in a row would win the AC Open held at Lenawee Recreation Lanes in Adrian. The team started off strong and never looked back as they beat second place Alma by 434 pins. All five of Adrian's starters would finish in the top 12 and sophomore Katie Harms and junior Chelsea Essenmacher made the All-Tournament team finishing second and fifth respectively. Freshmen Taylor Ouellette finished sixth, senior Kristen Marcis came in 11th place and sophomore Nicole Loomis finished 12th

Adrian's junior varsity team also bowled well finishing in fourth place out of seven teams. They beat two varsity programs and had two bowlers, freshman Haley Vasicek and junior Jessica Stamper, finish in the top ten.

"Both teams bowled great today. Usually the team bowls well in either the team games or baker portion of the tournament.  Today we did great in both and that's a big reason why we won by so many pins," said Jody Fetterhoff.
