ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs met the Saints of Siena Heights on Tuesday night in the "Battle for the Milk Jug". The Bulldogs had taken home the trophy each of the last two meetings after ending a seven year drought.  Siena Heights bettered Adrian after taking a 14 point lead into halftime and the Bulldogs could not overcome the double-digit deficit and fell 66-53 to bring their record to 0-4 on the season.

The first half was close as the teams traded the lead three times and tied the score another three times to bring the game to a 16-16 stalemate with 12:49 left in the half. Siena Heights pulled away from this point as the Saints went on a 18-0 run over the next 6:59 of play to lead the game 34-16. The Bulldogs could not recover before the break and looked up at a 41-27 score with 20 minutes to play.

The second half as played close as the teams traded buckets for the whole 20 minutes. The Bulldogs could not overcome the lead the Saints held from the first half, and despite winning the half 26-25, Adrian fell for the game 66-53.

Mitchell Small led the Bulldogs with a career high 15 points and seven rebounds. Ben Rodak added 10 points and four rebounds. Daniel Price and Rickey Jackson each came off of the bench to total eight points.

Adrian will play next at home on Saturday, November 30 at 3 p.m. against Marygrove.
