ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian met the Britons of Albion College Saturday afternoon for an MIAA matchup. The Bulldogs fell into a first half deficit of 40-13 but battled back to win the second half 43-30. Adrian cut the Britons lead in the second half, but their comeback fell short as they fell 70-56. This loss drops Adrian to 4-11 on the season and 0-4 in the MIAA.

The first half was all Britons as they went on a 24-0 run over 10:12 of the half and left Adrian looking up at a 28-5 shortcoming with just 6:50 left in the half. Albion would carry this lead the whole way to halftime as the Bulldogs trailed 40-13 at the break.

Adrian battled back in the second half as they outplayed the Britons for all 20 minutes. This started with a 10-0 Bulldog run over 2:26 of the half to cut the Albion lead to 17 with 13:44 left. This was followed closely by an Adrian 8-0 run that brought the Bulldogs within just 10 with 10:02 left in the game. The Bulldogs would continue this play as they continued this great second half surge, but Albion made their free throws down the stretch and the comeback fell short as Adrian fell, 70-54.

Wesley Reed led the Bulldogs with 19 points. Ben Rodak added 13 points and seven rebounds. Earl Swift tallied six points and six rebounds.

The Bulldogs will see action again Wednesday, January 22 when they host Kalamazoo College for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
