FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Bulldogs traveled to take on Marian (Wis.) Friday night in their first NCHA road game of 2014-15. The Bulldogs controlled the game as they took down the Sabres, 7-1, to improve to 3-0 overall with a 3-0 mark in the NCHA.
The Bulldogs started off with a fierce offensive attack in the first period. Sarah Shureb started the scoring at the 9:27 mark as she scored from Kaylyn Schroka to give Adrian the 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs then added three more goals in the first period to leave the score at 4-0 heading into the first intermission. Hannah McGowan, Abby Kibler and Lexie Tzafaroglou scored to add to the Adrian attack.
Adrian continued their offensive presence in the second period as they upped the score to 5-0 on a goal from Kelsey Kusch from Kristin Lewicki. The Bulldogs headed to the third period with a commanding 24-10 shots on goal advantage.
The third period saw the Sabres cut the Bulldog lead to 5-1 at the 12:26 mark, but the Bulldogs responded with a goal at the 17:57 mark as Kristi Zink scored her first career goal from McGowan. Adrian then expanded their lead to 7-1 at the 18:21 mark as Jessica Killingback scored from McGowan as the Bulldogs cruised to their road NCHA victory.
Adrian will see action again tomorrow when they take on the Falcons at 5 p.m. ET.
