DAYTON, Ohio - The women's bowling team competed against 21 other teams in the Raider Classic this past weekend. The team got off to a good start shooting an 897. Adrian stayed consistent shooting an 847, 935, 866 and 888 putting them in fourth place for day one of the tournament.
Sunday the team would bowl 20 baker games with the top four teams making it to the eliminator finals. Adrian held onto the fourth spot through three baker blocks, but Urbana jumped them in block four. With one block left and trailing by 52 pins, Adrian fought back shooting their best baker block throwing a 208, 213, 189 and 183 for a 789. Unfortunately, Urbana shot an 827 good enough to move them up to third place which then bumped Notre Dame College to fourth place and knocked Adrian out of the top 4 to finish in fifth place.
The team was led by freshman Noelle Scheuer and senior Nicole Loomis. Scheuer made her first All-Tournament team with her fifth place finish averaging 195.6 for the tournament. Loomis finished 12th in a field of 182 bowlers averaging 183.4.
