Box Score ALBION, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team travelled to Albion College Wednesday night to take on the Britons as the Bulldogs looked to revenge a 70-56 home loss to the Britons on January 15. The Bulldogs fell into a first half deficit of 21 points and could not recover in the second half as they fell to Albion 71-41. This loss drops the Bulldogs to 5-17 on the season and 1-10 in the MIAA.
The first half saw Adrian give up a 13-0 run over the first 10:05 of the game and fell into an early 13 point deficit. The Bulldogs struggled to recover from this slow start. They battled back to a 21-10 Albion lead before giving up another 10-0 run to leave the score at 31-10 with 3:10 remaining in the half. The Britons controlled the remaining of the first 20 minutes as Adrian looked up at a 34-13 halftime score in favor of Albion.
The second half saw the Albion refuse to give the Bulldogs any leeway as every Bulldog spark seemed to be snuffed out by the Britons and Adrian could not cut the lead to within single digits. Albion carried their lead throughout the second 20 minutes as the Bulldogs fell 71-41.
Adrian was led by Ben Rodak with 15 points. Rickey Jackson scored 6 points and added five rebounds. Earl Swift came off of the bench to notch nine points.
The Bulldogs see action again Saturday, February 15 when they travel to Kalamazoo College for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
