The women's bowling team kicked off the second half of their season this past weekend as they traveled to Addison, Illinois to bowl against 55 other teams in the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic. This is the team's first tier 1 tournament of the season and is the second biggest field they will compete in all season. On day one of the competition the team bowled four games over 900. They lost some pins in game five which put them in 21st place. Three bowlers placed in the top 100 with freshman Noelle Scheuer leading the way. Scheuer averaged 186 to finish in 60th place out of 378 bowlers. Junior Taylor Ouellette finished in 74th place averaging 182.17, while freshman Jennifer Kelly placed 80th with a 181.5 average.
Day 2 of the competition consisted of 16 baker games and the team got off to a rough start as they struggled with splits. While their scores improved each block, they didn't bowl as good as they had on Saturday and dropped to 25th place.
