Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College women's hockey team (4-1-0, 3-0-0) dominated Marian University (Wis.) (2-4-0, 0-3-0) 6-0 to earn their first shutout of the season. Courtney Tyll scored one goal and one assist to help the Bulldogs to victory.
Hannah Dalrymple, Kristina Zink, Sarah Shureb, Brooke Lupi and Kaylyn Schroka all scored a goal. Sydney Smith, Kayla Murray, Michelle Jones and Lexi Tzafaroglou each recorded an assist in the win.
Adrian dominated Marian in faceoffs (36-22) and shots (55-16) for the game. Both teams came up short on power plays with Marian going 0-for-3 and Adrian 0-for-4.
The Bulldogs came out sloppy in the first period but were able to take a 1-0 lead when Zink scored with less than three minutes left in the period.
The score would hold through most of the second period until Lupi scored an unassisted goal with 25 seconds remaining in the period to give Adrian a 2-0 lead going into the second intermission.
The Bulldogs put the pedal down in the final period scoring four goals to complete the shutout.
Adrian travels to Lake Forest, Ill., on Saturday, November 14 to face the Foresters in NCHA action. The first puck is scheduled to be dropped at 8:00 p.m EST.
