Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs used two second period goals to propel them to the 4-2 win over NCHA foe St. Norbert on Saturday night at Arrington Ice Arena. Sydney Smith's second period goal gave Adrian their second, and final, lead of the game 3-2. She also recorded an assist on the tying goal earlier in that period.
Shots for both teams were dead even at 31 all. The Green Knights edged the Bulldogs in faceoffs 30-27.
Adrian was a perfect 4-4 in the penalty kill and went 2-for-6 in power plays.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick lead 1-0 when Kaylyn Schroka scored 5:17 into the first period. Teammate Hannah Dalrymple was on the assist. The score would remain in Adrian's favor into the first intermission.
St. Norbert would tie it up 20 seconds into the 2nd period and would take a 2-1 lead less than three minutes later in the period. The Bulldogs would make the score even a few minutes later when Sarah Shureb deflected a shot by Sydney Smith on the power play. Adrian would take a 3-2 lead into the second intermission.
Adrian would put a two goal cushion on the Green Knights when Logan Taylor scored a power play goal with 3:21 left in the game.
The Bulldogs continue conference play when they host Concordia (Wis.) on Sunday, November 8. The first puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
