BEAVERCREEK, Ohio--The Adrian College women's bowling team continued to roll as the Bulldogs placed fifth at the 23-team Wright State University Raider Classic (Nov. 12-13) held at Capri Lanes.
Adrian just missed the top-four cut for the right to bowl for the title, finishing in fifth place by less than 70 pins. All told, the Bulldogs knocked down 7,754.
"This weekend was another great one for the girls. We struggled at times but the overall finish was very good for this tough tournament," said Adrian head coach John Essenmacher III. "We continue to be consistent finishing in the top spots at every tournament so far, and we'll keep looking to improve throughout the year."
Junior Jennifer Kelly led the way with a 10th-place finish, averaging 191 for five games totaling 955, followed by sophomore Marissa Land who was 18th with a 185.6 average (928 total), and freshman Jordyn Stone at 44th (170.2 average, 851 total).
Adrian hits the lanes again on Saturday the 19th when the Bulldogs participate at the Bowling Green State University Falcon Classic at Interstate Lanes in Rossford, Ohio, starting at 9 a.m.
