= Adrian junior goalie Tyler Parks made 29 saves to improve to 7-2-1 on the season. One of his best stops of the afternoon came with about 6 minutes left in the second period when he gloved Adam Fauchoux's shot from below the right face-off circle.

= Junior Jeremy Olinyk joined teammate Dunn with two assists.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

= Today marked the final regular-season home appearance for seniors captain Adam Davies, alternate captain Chris Leone, Pat George and Brent Sauve in a pregame ceremony. Davies had an assist and plus-1 rating, Leone was a plus-2 and he had an assist, George was a plus-1 with two shots, and Sauve was a plus-1 with an assist, too.

= With a weekend sweep and owning a four-point lead over NCHA-South rival Marian with two games left in the regular season, Adrian has clinched a first-round bye in the upcoming Harris Cup playoffs. The Bulldogs won the season series over the Sabres with a 4-4 tie and 3-2 win.

= Freshman Josh Shellman notched his first collegiate goal to give Adrian a 3-0 lead just 2:04 into the second period.

= The Bulldogs finished the regular season unbeaten, untied at home at 11-0, and have won 18-straight in Arrington dating back to Jan. 6, 2015. That's the second-longest streak in team history.

THE OPPOSITION

= Tanner Bull slammed home a rebound on Taylor Gauld's shot to spoil Parks' shutout bid. The shorthanded goal came at the 8:38 mark of the third period.

= Nick Erb tied Hervey for game-high honors with six shots.

= Despite allowing six goals, Jack Romanuik (5-6-1) made several outstanding saves and tried to keep CUW within a 2-0 deficit after 20 minutes. The Bulldogs twice hit the post and had several grade-A scoring opportunities that Romanuik stopped in the opening period.

UP NEXT

= Adrian wraps up the regular season next Friday and Saturday at NCHA opponent St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn.
