Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs scored two empty net goals in the final two minutes of regulation to secure a 4-1 victory of a pesky St. Scholastica team in the first game of the NCHA Slaats Cup Playoff semifinals.

FIRST PERIOD: NO SCORING
- Adrian dominated play, outshooting the Saints 17-4 in the first period, but could not beat St. Scholastica goalkeeper, an All-NCHA selection, Lindsey Hartfiel.
SECOND PERIOD: TIED 1-1
- The Saints would break the zero-zero tie with 7:07 off the clock in the second period when Sierra Hanowski would score a power play goal to give St. Scholastica its only lead of the game, 1-0
- Shelly Czarnowczan would score the game-tying goal seven minutes and 12 seconds later off a shot from the blue line. She was assisted by Brooke Lupi and Sarah Shureb
- The period would end in a 1-1 tie with the Bulldogs on a power play
THIRD PERIOD: ADRIAN TAKES LEAD AND HANGS ON
- Kristin Lewicki would score her 30th goal of the season, 11th power play goal and sixth game-winning goal just 50 seconds into the final period
- The score would remain 2-1 for the majority of the period until Kaylyn Schroka scored on an empty net goal with 1:02 left in the game
- Logan Taylor would follow Schroka and score a second empty net goal with just five ticks left on the clock to seal the Bulldog victory
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- This was the first time St. Scholastica and Adrian have met in the postseason
- The Bulldogs improve their NCHA playoff record to 9-5 and their semifinal round record to 3-2
- The Saints NCHA playoff record is now 2-6 overall and 0-3 in semifinal round
