WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association office released the selections for the 2016 NCHA All-Academic Team today. Ten Adrian College women's hockey players made the team for this season.
Emily Duncan (junior/Alpena, Mich.), Kelsey Dupuis (senior/Glenview, Ill.), Brooke Gibson (junior/Strathroy, Ontario), Rose Krasofsky (sophomore/Plymouth, Mich.), Bailey Robertson (junior/Orange, Calif.), Sydney Smith (junior/Sarnia, Ontario), Logan Taylor (senior/Grosse Ile, Mich.), Courtney Tyll (junior/Chesterfield, Mich.), Lexie Tzafaroglou (junior/Livonia, Mich.) and Kristi Zink (sophomore/Canton, Mich.).
Adrian had the second highest number of players named to the All-Academic team, Concordia (Wis.) had 11 players named.
Dupuis is the only senior on Adrian to be named to the All-Academic team all four years of her college career, the only other senior on the list for this year, Taylor, has been named twice.
Duncan, Gibson, Robertson, Smith and Tzafaroglou are all on the list for the second time in their careers. Tyll is the only junior being named for the first time.
Zink and Krasofsky are the only two sophomores named on the list and are both on the list for the first time.
There were no freshmen on the list this season.
