Box Score FOREST GROVE, Ore.--Preseason nationally No. 25-ranked Adrian College outscored host Pacific University (Ore.) 17-0 in the third quarter en route to a come-from-behind 30-28 victory on Friday night in the season openers for both teams.

FOR ADRIAN
= Senior quarterback Stephen Milarch completed 15 of 26 passes for career highs in 211 yards and three touchdowns.
= Junior kicker Cameron Cook was perfect on three field goals and three extra points, plus he averaged 52 yards on seven kickoffs with two touchbacks.
= Sophomore receiver Jerron McGaw had three catches and a game-best 100 yards in his Adrian debut.
= Classmate Darius Philon led all receivers with seven catches for 52 yards.
= Linebackers Chris Adams, a sophomore, and Nathaniel Nicholson each had six tackles. Adams posted five solo.
THE OPPOSITION
= Senior quarterback Campbell Summerfield was 21 of 36 for 284 yards and matched Milarch with a trio of TD passes. He also rushed nine times for 45 yards.
= Kamana Pimental rumbled for 91 yards on 10 carries, including a 75-yard TD run to open the scoring in the third quarter.
= Jack Perez and Ina Teofilo led the defense that held Adrian to 292 total yards with 16 and 14 tackles, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= The teams traded scoring runs throughout the evening. Adrian opened a 13-0 advantage on a Randy Fry 26-yard pass from Milarch 5 minutes into the game and a pair of Cook field goals.
= The Boxers countered with 21 unanswered points to close the first half and open the second. Pacific got on the scoreboard when Summerfield threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to Kobe Williams, followed by a 14-yarder to Chad Aragon, and then Pimental had his big run.
= But the Adrian defense had several three-and-outs to ignite a second-half surge for the offense. Cook booted a 24-yard field goal to cap an 11-play, 83-yard drive to make it 21-16 Pacific.
= Then Milarch tossed an 8-yard TD to junior tight end Joey Koscielski and another for 16 yards to McGaw as the Bulldogs reclaimed the lead 30-21 with 2 minutes and 3 seconds remaining.
= The resilient Boxers hungry for a season-opening win went 99 yards on 10 plays in the final seconds of the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 30-28. The drive saw Summerfield complete seven passes to three-different receivers including Tyler Nakama, who found the end zone on a 19-yard reception to cut the deficit to 30-28 with 20 seconds to play.
= Adrian sealed the victory by securing the onside kick with 10 seconds left.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= With three field goals tonight, Cameron Cook moves into third place on the Adrian all-time list with 19 for his career. He surpassed Justin Warner who made 18 from 2007 to 2009.
= This is the first time in Adrian's 112-year history that the program has played a game west of the Rocky Mountains.
= Pacific won only previous meeting between the schools in 2013 in Adrian, 20-10.
= Adrian was ranked 25th in the NCAA Division III preseason poll by The Sporting News.

= Adrian will be idle next week before preparing for its next game against Benedictine in Lisle, Ill., on Saturday, Sep. 17, for another non-conference setting.
