Box Score LAKE FOREST, Ill.--Sophomore Trevor Boyd potted two goals in the opening period to help the nationally-ranked Adrian College men's hockey team get off to a quick start in a 5-1 victory Friday at Lake Forest College in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association action.

THE OPPOSITION
= Goalie George Argiropoulos made 37 saves to help Lake Forest stay in the contest.
= Jack Lewis scored his 12th goal of the season on a pass from Bron Loiselle to spoil Entmaa's shutout bid in the second period.
= Davis DeKorte and Lewis both had four shots on goal to lead the Foresters in that department.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian peppered the LFC goal with 42 shots, including an 18-6 margin in the first period to take a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.
= Boyd got the scoring going just 4 minutes and 26 seconds after the opening face-off.
= Lisi scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at 11:54 and Boyd followed with another tally only 1:53 later.
= Lewis got the home team on the scoreboard at 7:40 of the second period before Adrian struck again with two quick goals.
= Junior alternate captain Blake Butzow ripped a shot from his defensive position for his first goal of the season and freshman Matt McNair scored his third--both coming 58 seconds apart late. The Bulldogs held a commanding 5-1 cushion.
= Neither team scored in the final stanza.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Boyd's second marker of the evening came on the power play and he tied sophomore Bryan Yim with 11 goals this season.
= Adrian has won three games in a row by a combined score of 20-5.
= The Bulldogs have outscored opponents by a plus-20 margin in the first period, 30 to 10.
