Box Score NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Brooke Lupi scored Adrian's final two goals in the third period to tie the game at three and force the defending NCAA Division III National Champion and current No. 1 ranked Plattsburgh St., into overtime. The Cardinal's Jordan Lipson would score in the extra period give Plattsburgh the 4-3 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Period: Plattsburgh St. 2, Adrian 1
• Jordan Lipson and Kayla Meneghin each scored in the opening period to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead.
• Kelly O'Sullivan would cut the lead in half, scoring a goal off assists from Sydney Smith and newcomer Leigh Farquhar at the 13:45 mark of the first period.
• Plattsburgh outshot Adrian 12-5 in the first period. The Cardinals went 0-2 on the power play in the period; the Bulldogs went 0-1.
Second Period: Plattsburgh St. 2, Adrian 1
• Neither team was able to score in the second period. Adrian had two power play opportunities and Plattsburgh had one. The Bulldogs had the advantage in shooting for the period, 8-6.
Third Period: Adrian 3, Plattsburgh St. 3
• Mackenzie Millen scored to put the Cardinals up 3-1 with less than seven minutes to play in regulation.
• Brooke Lupi would score less than two minutes later to bring the Adrian deficit back to just one goal, 3-2. She was assisted on the goal by Kelly O'Sullivan and Kortney Diaz.
• Lupi would tie the game, scoring with an extra skater in the final minute of the third period. She was assisted by team captain Kaylyn Schroka.
• The teams tied 9-9 in shots on goal for the period.
Overtime: Plattsburgh St. 4, Adrian 3
• Lipson scored the game-winning goal 1:02 into the overtime period to give the Cardinals the 4-3 victory. It was the only shot on goal for the period.

• Brooke Lupi led Adrian with two goals. She was also a perfect 2-2 in faceoffs.
• Kelly O'Sullivan scored the other Bulldog goal. She also registered an assist and finished with a +1.
• Sydney Smith, Kaylyn Schroka, Kortney Diaz and Leigh Farquhar each had one assist.
• Jade Walsh (L, 2-1-0) saved 24 of the 28 shots she faced.
THE OPPOSITION
• Lipson had two goals for the Cardinals and finished with a +2.
• Meneghin (1,1) and Millen (1,0) each scored one goal.
