Box Score MEQUON, Wis.--Sophomores Trevor Boyd, Cory Dunn and Bryan Yim each recorded three points to power nationally-ranked Adrian College to a convincing 8-1 victory Friday at CUW in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's hockey action, clinching the NCHA South Division title outright in the process.

= Classmate Kevin Entmaa (10-5-2 record) had 24 saves on 25 shots faced in the Adrian cage.
= Dunn had three assists, while Yim scored a goal and had two assists. Yim also led AC with five shots on goal.
= Also enjoying a multi-point game were junior alternate captain Taylor McCloy (1g, 1a) and freshman Vincent Paquette (2g) with two apiece.
THE OPPOSITION
= Adam Fauchoux scored the Falcons' lone goal, his sixth of the season.
= Nick Erb (9) and Josh Adkins (8) picked up assists on that scoring play.
= Brandt Weldon led all student-athletes with six shots on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Leading 3-1, Adrian broke open a close game with five goals in the second period to put it out of reach.
= Senior Austin Hervey set the tone for the Bulldogs with his seventh goal just 40 seconds after the opening face-off. Classmate and alternate captain Daniel Lisi and freshman Vinny Post were credited with the assists.
= Paquette scored what proved to be the game-winner less than 4 minutes later when he was assisted by junior Kyle Brothers and Dunn.
= Fauchoux spoiled Entmaa's second career shutout bid with 10 minutes and 53 seconds left in the first period.
= But 24 seconds later, Paquette notched his second goal of the stanza to restore Adrian's two-goal advantage--igniting a six-goal run.
= The Bulldogs scored five times over a 15:39 span in the second period.
= Adrian had a balanced offense that featured six goal-scorers and 14 student-athletes with at least one point.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Adrian has won three straight games by a 15-5 combined score after losing twice to St. Norbert, which got swept itself by CUW on the road at the end of January.
= Adrian is 35-0 lifetime against CUW, and the 35 victories are the most over any opponent.
= Boyd (14g, 16a) and Dunn (7, 23) are tied for the Adrian scoring lead with 30 points.
= The Bulldogs also won the NCHA-South last season with a 17-2-1 mark when the league started divisional play. Adrian currently leads second-place Marian by six points, 28-22, as the Sabres have lost two of their last five NCHA games.
