INDIANAPOLIS--Senior Brittney Antonelli bowled like no other Adrian College women's student-athlete did before at the 48th annual Hoosier Classic, which concluded Sunday after two days of competition at the Western Bowl.
She led the Bulldogs to a 26th place showing in the team standings after finishing in ninth overall--the highest finish in program history--at this long-running event. Antonelli knocked down 1,252 pins for six games, or an average 208.66. The tournament featured 418 individuals.
As a team, Adrian threw for an 8,025 after six games, then 15 baker rounds, for 26th out of 66 teams. On Saturday, the Bulldogs rolled a 5,462 thru six games and sat in 21st place.
Adrian is scheduled to return to the lanes on Saturday for the American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Championships.
