Box Score ALBION, Mich.--The Adrian College women's basketball team had a solid first half at Albion College on Wednesday evening, but the Bulldogs couldn't sustain that momentum in the second as the host Britons pulled away for a 64-35 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association win.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Junior Ashley Morris was the lone Bulldog in double digits with 10 points and she also recorded a game-high-tying four assists.
= Freshman Rachel Bucher came off the bench to grab a team-high five rebounds, block two shots and score six points.
THE OPPOSITION
= Evelyn Wischmeyer paced Albion with game highs of 17 points and nine rebounds, plus four steals
= Rain Hinton added 13 points and eight rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian trailed only 23-18 at the intermission, but Albion outscored the Bulldogs 41-17 in the second half to win by 29 points.
= Adrian was limited to 24.0 percent field goal shooting (12-50) and Albion held a wide rebounding margin of 58 to 32.
= Albion built an 8-2 lead before Adrian went on a 7-2 run to close 10-9 by the end of the opening stanza. Bucher keyed it with five points for the Bulldogs, who held the Britons without a point for 3 minutes and 26 seconds.
= The score remained 10-9 until the 7:38 mark of the second quarter as Rain made it 12-9. The teams traded baskets the rest of the way as the Britons held a slim 23-18 halftime lead.
= But Rain made another bucket to open the third quarter to ignite a 13-4 run over a 5:19 span and Albion took control, 36-22. Albion, which never trailed, maintained a double-digit advantage for the rest of the contest.
= The Britons outscored the Bulldogs in the paint, 28-14, and 26-5 on second-chance points--taking advantage of their work on the glass.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Despite its most lopsided loss in Albion since 2005, Adrian still leads the Britons in the all-time series, 57-44. The Bulldogs fall to 28-23 in Albion.
= Morris is averaging a season-high 12.3 points, which ranks eighth in the MIAA.

= Adrian will open the month of February at nationally-ranked and MIAA-leader Trine on Saturday at 3 p.m.
