No. 2-Ranked Men's Hockey Takes Thunder Out of Visiting Trine University

ADRIAN, Mich.-- Senior Bryan Yim continued his scoring streak with a game-high three points, and classmate Kevin Entmaa turned aside all 21 shots he faced, to propel Adrian to a 5-0 victory over visiting Trine in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's action on Friday.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Yim finished with a goal and two assists.

= Freshman Trevor Coykendall also enjoyed a multi-point game--the first of his Bulldogs career--with a goal and assist.

= Entmaa (6-1 record) posted his second shutout of the season and sixth of his career.

THE OPPOSITION
= Brett Young had 43 saves on 48 shots he faced.

= Alex Johanson led the Thunder in the face-off circle at 14-11 and tallied five shots, followed by Garrett Hallford at 9-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= The Bulldogs blew open a close game with four goals during a span of 13 minutes and 34 seconds in the third period. Yim (3:11), junior Bryce Van Horn (12:17), senior Trevor Boyd (18:27) and freshman Michael Montambault (18:45) found the back of the net in the decisive stanza.

= Adrian outshot Trine by period 16-6 in the first period, 17-6 in the second and 15-9 in the third for a grand total of 48 to 21.

= The Bulldogs dominated the face-off circle like the scoreboard, winning 51 of 84 draws. They were led by senior alternate captain Connor Armour (19-for-28), junior Dino Balsamo (9-for-14), Montambault (13-for-20) and Yim (6-for-8).

= Coykendall gave the Bulldogs all the scoring they would need when he broke a scoreless tie midway through the first period on assists from junior Vinny Post and Yim.

= Adrian went 2-for-5 on the power play and shut down all four man-advantage chances for the Thunder.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Yim reached 90 career points tonight. He has 42 goals and 48 assists in 93 games. He has nine points in seven contests this season, including a team-high seven goals.

= Boyd took sole possession of eighth-place on the Adrian all-time goal-scoring list with 53, surpassing his coach Adam Krug (2007-08) and Kyle Brothers (2014-17).

= Entmaa surpassed (James Hamby, 5 from 2011-14) on the Bulldogs' career shutouts chart with six.

= Adrian leads the all-time series against Trine, 4-0, including 3-0 at home.
