Box Score HOLLAND, Mich.--Host Hope College turned a close game at the end of the first quarter into a convincing win, 86-33, over Adrian College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball action on Wednesday.

= Freshman Rachel Bucher had team highs of nine points and three rebounds.
= Sophomore Angelina Goosby matched Bucher with three rebounds.
= Junior Ashley Morris led Adrian with three assists and she added six points.
THE OPPOSITION
= Kenedy Schoonveld scored a game-high 12 points and had seven rebounds.
= Starter Lauren Newman and reserve Victoria Swift had 10 points apiece. Swift led all players with four assists.
= Ashleigh Thomas joined Schoonveld for game-high rebounds with seven.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Hope had great balance as 14 of 15 student-athletes who played scored a point and nine had at least six.
= The hosts shot 49.2 percent from the field (30-61) while holding the Bulldogs to 30.8 (12-39).
= Hope used a 24-3 run in the second quarter to take control, going up 40-16 at halftime.
= Adrian hung with the Flying Dutch for the opening 10 minutes as the teams' combined for four lead changes and there were four ties. Hope led 16-13 after the first.
= Olivia Voskuil (8 points) made two free throws to put the Dutch up for good, 12-10, with 3 minutes and 49 seconds left in the second quarter.
= Hope also had statistical advantages in rebounding (42-13), turnovers (10-18), points off turnovers (27-12) and second-chance points (23-2).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Hope has won 43 straight meetings and now leads the all-time series over Adrian, 67-32.
= The Flying Dutch became the seventh women's basketball team in NCAA history to record 800 victories with an 84-39 victory in Adrian back on Dec. 2.
= Adrian's 13 rebounds are a season low. The 33 points are the fewest the Bulldogs have scored against the Flying Dutch on the road since Feb. 12, 1968 (39-23 loss).
