CHARLOTTE, Mich.--The Adrian College women's bowling claimed the Olivet College Comets Classic for the second year in a row to begin its November road schedule on Nov. 3, clearing the field by more than 100 pins to finish with a 5,993 total.
During individual games, Adrian was able to produce sets of 883, 795, 833 and 799. The Bulldogs were fighting for first going into bakers. They were then able to produce good enough sets for bakers to maintain as leaders of the tournament.
Individually, Freshman Abigail Bird was able to shoot a series of 729 for four games, averaging 182.25. This was good enough to obtain second place out of 40 bowlers as Bird gained her first all-tournament team award. Right behind her in sixth place was senior Jordyn Stone. In seventh place was junior Erica Jones. Lastly, in tenth place was Kylie Middleton, making this four bowlers in the top ten of the four individual games. Sophomore Nicole Discenna bowled two games to help the individual sets. Sophomore Kailee Treloar and senior Kayla Clark bowled one game.
