Box Score ADRIAN, Mich.--Despite holding one of the best shooting teams in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association relatively in check and climbing back from a 15-point deficit, Adrian's spirited fourth quarter comeback bid fell shy to visiting Albion, 77-70, in women's basketball action on Monday.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Senior Ashley Morris led three Bulldogs in double-digits with 19 points on 6-for-12 from the field and 6-for-7 at the charity stripe. She also had three steals and three assists.
= Sophomore Rachel Bucher (6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals) and freshman Rylee Campbell (4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals) chipped in 15 and 10 points apiece.
= Sophomore Sha'Trice Graves (7 points, 4 blocked shots) had a game-best eight rebounds to help Adrian enjoy a 36-29 edge over the Britons on the glass.
THE OPPOSITION
= Rain Hinton scored a game-high 28 points on 8-for-11 field goal shooting and 12-for-15 at the free throw line. She led the team with seven rebounds.
= Evelyn Wischmeyer came off the bench to net 19 points, grab five rebounds and get a game-high four steals.
= Sam Carter added 10 points (9-10 FTs), game-high five assists and three steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= Albion took advantage of 26 Adrian turnovers into 31 points off those miscues.
= There were four ties and four lead changes in the contest, with Albion staying in front for good late in the first quarter (16-14).
= The Britons built as much as a 17-point lead in the third quarter (62-45 at 37 seconds left) and led by double-digits as late as 3 minutes remaining in the contest.
= But after falling behind 75-63, Adrian made a gutsy comeback attempt to get within seven points twice. Senior Emily Sommerville (5 points) had a layup and Morris completed a three-point play to make it 75-68 with 2:00 left in the fourth. Morris also drained a trey after the Britons were up 74-60.
= Albion darted out to a 6-0 lead, but Adrian tied it 6-6 on an Aliva Kondrath 3ball and Morris traditional three-point play with a layup and free throw.
= Morris gave the Bulldogs their first lead 10-9 with a pair of free throws and converted a layup for their last 14-11 at 5 minutes and 3 seconds remaining in the opening stanza. The Britons eventually led 25-17 after 10 minutes.
= Albion led 44-31 at halftime, but was outscored 39-33 in the second half.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= This game was originally scheduled for last Wednesday because of dangerous cold weather and snow. The first make-up date was then slated for Friday before being moved again to tonight.
= Adrian still leads the all-time series against Albion, 57-46 (27-22 at home), but the Britons have won the last six meetings.
= Graves has 99 career blocked shots after just two seasons for the Bulldogs.
= Albion came into the game ranked second in the MIAA in field goal percentage at almost .480, but was held 60 points (.426; 20-47) below that average.
