ADRIAN, Mich.--Adrian Men's Hockey scored four power play goals on the way to conquering visiting Lawrence, 9-2, in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association action on Friday evening, with sophomore Sam Ruffin netting a career-best five points to also set a team season high.

TOP 'DAWGS
= Ruffin finished with a goal and four assists and was 12-for-21 on face-offs.

= Sophomores Andrew Bellant and Rex Moe both had two goals with the latter adding an assist for three points.

= Sophomore defenseman Brandon Marinelli and classmate Zachary Heintz both had three points on a goal and two assists.

= Junior goalie Cameron Gray posted 26 saves.

= Senior Dino Balsamo chipped in two helpers.

THE OPPOSITION
= Ivan Galaguzov and Vincent Dekumbis led Lawrence with a goal and an assist each. 

= Tyler Jensen (8-12) and Danny Toycen (9-15) led the team in the face-off circle.

= Zach Lodes led the Vikings with five shots on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
= Adrian was 4-for-9 on the power play and outshot Lawrence 49 to 28.

= Bellant scored twice in the first period as Adrian built a 4-1 advantage on two power play tallies.

= The Bulldogs made it 6-1 after 40 minutes as Moe found the back of the net on the power play just 17 seconds into the second, with senior Bryce Van Horn and Ruffin getting the assists, and Marinelli getting a shot from the point through traffic halfway through the game.

= Adrian outscored Lawrence 3-1 in the final stanza to ice the win, highlighted by senior Vinny Post's (6-of-11 on face-offs) first goal of the season on rebound shot from sophomore defenseman Andrew McCann at the 12:07 mark.

= Then 1:13 later, Moe wrapped up the scoring on the power play on assists from Ruffin and senior Joey Colatarci.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE   
= Adrian leads the all-time series 23-0-3 over Lawrence, including a 14-0-1 home mark versus the Vikings.

= The nine goals ties an AC season's best. It's also the most the Vikings have given up in 2019-20.

= Tonight was the most goals Adrian scored in the series since another 9-2 victory in the 2011 Harris Cup Semifinals. The seven-goal margin is also the Bulldogs' largest against LU since a 7-0 shutout win on Nov. 2 of last season. 

= Lawrence has lost four games in a row. Adrian snaps a four-game winless streak at home (0-2-2) in a big way.

= Ruffin leads the Bulldogs with 19 assists and 27 points.
