Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's hockey team defeated St. Norbert 4-0 on Friday night to win the NCHA regular season for the sixth year in a row. With the win, the Bulldogs advance to 18-3-3 on the season and 13-1-1 in NCHA play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first period finished scoreless, but Adrian put 19 shots on goal to start the game. The Bulldogs got on the board in the second period as Lexi Grunden scored her first goal of the season to take a 1-0 lead. Later in the period Jessica VonRuden received a pass from Une Bjelland and found the back of the net to lead 2-0. Adrian found another opportunity in the second period from Brianna Buchanan, but the St. Norbert goaltender made a diving save to block Buchanan's shot.
Adrian continued the scoring in the third period as Kelly O'Sullivan took the puck coast to coast and scored against three St. Norbert defenders to take a 3-0 lead. The Bulldogs added an insurance goal with just over 10 minutes left in the third period when Reaghan Pietrowski scored to lead 4-0 and come away with the win.
Denisa Jandova faced 12 shots on goal from St. Norbert but came away with her third shutout in a row. Jandova has not allowed a goal since February 2 against Lake Forest.
The Adrian College women's hockey team will honor eight seniors during tomorrow's senior day ceremony. The seniors that will be honored are Anna Shepherd, Brianna Buchanan, Maggie Mitter, Kelly O'Sullivan, Jacqueline White, Nicole Guagliardo, Rylee Bates, and Lexi Grunden.

The Bulldogs take on St. Norbert to wrap up senior weekend on Saturday, February 15. The senior day ceremony will begin at 2:15 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena. Tomorrow's game will start at 3:30 PM.
