INDIANAPOLIS–-The Adrian College women's bowling squad competed in the 51st annual Hoosier Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 15-16. The Bulldogs earned a place of 49 out of 64 teams. The format for this weekend was six individual games and three sets of five bakers.
For Adrian individuals, the team threw a 5,080 for the six games combined. Senior Jordyn Stone led the team with a 1,103 for six games, averaging 183.83. Stone finished 112th out of 419 bowlers. Freshman Megan Staley bowled a 1,059 for six games, with her first game being a 257. Staley averaged 176.5 and finished in 154th. Sophomore Nicole Discenna bowled five games and threw an 886, averaging 177. Sophomore Kylie Middleton bowled six games and threw a 1,000, averaging 166.66. Junior Erica Jones and sophomore Kailee Trelour both bowled a few games as well to help the team.
During bakers, the team threw a 2,497 for 15 games. Adrian finished the two-day tournament with a 7,577 pin-total.
