Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team defeated the Trine University Thunder 3-0. The Bulldogs begin MCVL conference play with a 1-0 record and snapped their seven-match losing streak. Adrian was led by Noah Marcinkowski who finished with 22 kills and Joseph Campana who finished with 40 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 11-6 lead with the help of two 4-0 runs. Between the two runs, Marcinkowski picked up four kills and Tedrick Gula had two kills. Trine battled back and brought the score to 17-15 in favor of Adrian. Set one finished with three kills from Marcinkowski to win the set 25-21.
Adrian led 8-5 to begin set two. Four errors by the Bulldogs allowed Trine to tie the set at 11-11. Adrian responded with a 6-1 run with three kills and a service ace from Marcinkowski. Trine cut the lead to 18-17 after a 5-1 run to respond to the Bulldogs. Gula slammed down two kills for Adrian followed by kills from Peyton Doelling and Lucas Rusnak. Adrian took set two 25-20.
Adrian took an early 5-1 lead in set three on a service ace from Jake Simpson and a block from Doelling and Mason Hostetler. The Bulldogs didn't let up as Marcinkowski picked up two kills to bring the score to 16-10. After a kill by the Thunder and an Adrian attack error, the Bulldogs sparked a 4-0 run to lead by eight at 20-12. Doelling scored twice on kills to lead Adrian to a set three win and a 3-0 sweep over Trine.
