Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's volleyball team defeated the Mount St. Joseph Lions. The Bulldogs won by a score of 3-1 with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-11, and 25-21. The Bulldogs were led by Noah Marcinkowski who finished with 25 kills and Tedrick Gula who finished with 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adrian trailed 4-1 early in set one but a 9-4 run brought them back and the Bulldogs took a 15-14 lead. Gula and Lucas Rusnak picked up kills during the run and Mason Hostetler and Peyton Doelling combined for a blocked. With the score tied 20-20, Mount St. Joseph went on a late run and took a 1-0 match lead after a 25-22 win.
The Bulldogs bounced back in set two and led 8-5 after kills by Gula and Marcinkowski. Adrian went cold and allowed the Lions back in the game after multiple attack errors. Gula and Marcinkowski finished the set strong for Adrian as the Bulldogs won set two 25-20.
Adrian held onto the ball for most of the third set. The Bulldogs took a big 15-2 lead with the help of six kills from Marcinkowski. Doelling and Hostetler added kills during the Bulldog run. The Lions started to battle back but Adrian still led 19-9. Marcinkowski and Joseph Campana finished the set with kills to take a 2-1 match lead after a 25-11 set win.
The Bulldogs started set four strong again and took a 7-1 lead and forced a timeout. The Lions came back after the timeout and brought the score to 13-11 in favor of Adrian. The Bulldogs responded with a 5-1 run to lead 18-12. Leading by five, the Bulldogs gave the Lions some life and allowed them to bring the score to 23-21. A kill by Marcinkowski and a service ace by Jake Simpson locked down the set four win and a 3-1 match win.
Adrian brings its winning percentage back to .500 and advance to 2-0 in MCVL conference play.
