Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's volleyball team was defeated by the Aquinas Saints on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs fell 3-0 by losing sets 25-17, 25-22, and 25-23. Tuesday's loss marks the second loss to Aquinas this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs started set one trailing by a score of 7-2 and called their first timeout. Aquinas continued scoring and took an eight-point lead at 16-8, but Adrian responded with a 6-1 run to trail by three. With the score at 19-16 in favor of Aquinas, the Saints finished the set on a 6-1 run to win 25-17.
Adrian bounced back in set two and had the score tied 9-9. Aquinas brought back its first set energy and went on an 8-2 run to lead 17-11. The Bulldogs scored on four straight serves to trail by two. The teams traded points until the end and a kill from Noah Marcinkowski brought the score to 23-21 in favor of Aquinas. The Saints scored again to go up three, but Peyton Doelling kept Adrian alive with a kill, but it wasn't enough as Aquinas came away with a set two win.
Aquinas took an early lead in set three by leading 11-6. Two errors from the Saints and a kill from Marcinkowski put Adrian within two. The Saints responded with a 5-2 run to lead 20-15. The Bulldogs pushed the set to the wire and jumped on a 7-3 run with the help of three kills from Tedrick Gula to bring the Aquinas lead to one at 24-23. The Saints answered with a quick kill to take set three and the match.

The Bulldogs will host Siena Heights on Saturday, February 8 at 7:00 PM. The Bulldogs look to win their second match of the season against Siena Heights as they defeated them earlier in the season at the Michigan Men's Volleyball Invitational, 3-2.
