Box Score MEQUON, Wis. – The Adrian College women's hockey team swept the Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) Falcons in the weekend series. The Bulldogs won game two 2-0 and shut the Falcons out for the second straight day. Denisa Jandova stopped 26 shots on goal to lead Adrian to the shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs scored in the first period on a goal from Nicole Guagliardo. Kelly O'Sullivan and Maggie Mitter added assists on the goal. Guagliardo's goal marked her 14th of the season.
Adrian added to its lead in the second period with a wrap-around goal from Brooke Schembri. Schembri's goal was her third of the season. Brianna Buchanan and Une Bjelland picked up an assists on the goal.
With a 2-0 lead, the Bulldogs picked up a penalty late in the game and gave the Falcons the opportunity on a faceoff in the Falcons' offensive zone. CUW pulled its goalie to make it a 6-on-4, but Adrian won the faceoff and was able to clear the puck to come away with the win.
Jandova shut out the Falcons for the second straight game. Jandova finished with weekend with 41 total saves after stopping 15 shots on Friday night and stopping 26 shots on Saturday afternoon.
With the two wins over the weekend, the Bulldogs have clinched home ice for the first round of the NCHA playoffs.
