ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College football team will travel to Kalamazoo College on Saturday to take on the Hornets in the final game of the season. The Bulldogs come in with a 4-5 record and hold a 2-3 record in conference. The Hornets hold a 1-8 record and are 0-5 in conference play this season.
Kalamazoo averages 197.2 yards of offense on the season and allow an average of 466.7 yards per game. In MIAA play this season, Kalamazoo has managed to score only 23 points this year with a high of 13 coming against Trine University. Adrian has averaged 372.1 yards per game and have allowed an average of 376.1.
The Bulldog holds a trio of running backs on the offensive side.
Steven Moses,
Malik Ray, and
Jimmie Clark combine for 13 touchdowns on the season and are led by Moses with seven and an average of 107.89 yards per game.
On the passing end,
Jack Wurzer has thrown for 14 touchdowns the season and averages 176.44 yards in the air per game.
Preston Smith leads receivers with 566 yards and an average of 70.75 per game. He also has four touchdowns on the year which sits behind
Gage Palus with five.Â
In red zone opportunities this season, the Bulldogs are 25-for-33 with 24 touchdowns.
On defense,
Brandon Kwiatkowski and
Kyle Minder lead the team with 70 total tackles each. Minder leads the team in QB hurries with five this season followed by
DeAndre Jennings with four, and
Justin Wiseman with three.
Jimerie Cannon hold four of the team's 11 interceptions this season to go with four pass breakups.
The Bulldogs and the Hornets will battle it out as Adrian looks to get back to .500 to finish the season. Tomorrow's game will take place at Kalamazoo and will kickoff at 1:00 PM.
