GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's rugby team traveled to Grand Rapids to take on Davenport University in a pair of matches. The Bulldogs struggled in the first match losing 24-5, but bounced back in the second match to grab a 10-10 tie. Adrian moves to 1-2-2 on the season.
The lone scoring for Adrian in the first match came on a try from
Claire Ames. In the second match, the Bulldogs trailed 10-0 and began to mount the comeback.
Daniyah Green and
Shyann Ronning each scored a try late in the match for Adrian.
"The team never gave up," said head coach
John Gulden. "Even when we were down early in the first match. They came back stronger in the second match which is great to see."Â
