SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's rugby team traveled to Notre Dame to take on the Fighting Irish in another road match. The Bulldogs brought the offense who produced 57 points to defeat Notre Dame 57-24. On the night, Adrian totaled eight tries and went 6-of-8 on conversions.Â
Petelo Vatuvei led the offense with two tries to total ten of the Bulldogs' points.
Michael Pakofe picked up a try as did
Michael Karns. The Bulldogs weren't done yet as
Scott Barrett, Sione Fotu,
Seti Latu, and
Sam Williams all picked up tries for Adrian. Williams went 4-of-6 on conversions and newcomer
Macgregor Adams went 2-of-2 on conversions.Â
"We finally played our system with go forward attack," said head coach
Benny Mateialona. "Our defense still needs some work. Our big boys gave us some go forward attack which resulted with eight tries."
The Bulldogs return home to face Central Michigan on September 24 at 7:00 PM from Docking Stadium.
